In the City of Chicago’s continuous effort to support Chicagoland businesses and improve environmental stewardship, we are inviting you to participate in the 2008 Chicago Waste Collection Survey. The City of Chicago, in cooperation with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, is seeking to better understand the quality and cost of refuse (i.e. regularly collected garbage and rubbish) and recycling collection services offered to community businesses. The results of this will be used to develop programs and initiatives to encourage lower collection costs, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improve recycling programs.

This survey was created to collect specific information about your business’ existing refuse and recycling collection practices. We highly recommend you have a copy of your collection bill on hand when completing the survey. Please note: often times, not all information may be on your bill.

Your cooperation in completing this survey is greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions, feel free to call the Chicago Department of Environment’s Waste Survey Hotline at (312) 744-8908, or send an email to wastesurvey@cityofchicago.org.

This survey is active until April 4, 2008.
